On the first half of the network meeting we will take a look at new market opportunities in Latin America. We have invited Gilbert Walter, CEO of BRS Brokers to share insights on the market developments and the possibilities the Latin American market could provide to Danish companies. You will also hear about working and living in Latin America. 

The second half of the program will among others have focus on global shipbuilding. Christopher Pålsson from maritime-insight will give an overview on what is going on in the global shipbuilding markets and which trends can be seen currently. maritime-insight is a company that provides customised consulting, analysis and forecasts for a wide range of maritime issues. 

You will also meet your industry colleagues and get updates on, how they see the industry develop and what challenges they are working with.

    Salka will give insight on how it is to live and work in Colombia: The current situation in the country, how are the work ethics, the system, good to know when you want to work in Latina America and more.

    Chris will focus on main drivers for change, why order a new ship, crude, product, LNG, dry bulk, container, roro/ferry/cruise, and also his take on how should the future fleet be propelled?

    Kim Hinrichsen

    Kim Hinrichsen is CPP Broker at BRS Group, which is an international shipbroking company. Based in Geneva, Switzerland Kim is a senior Shipbroker, but spends one third of his time in Latin America to follow BRS' business and to develop new business. The BRS Group is a global shipping services group offering a range of maritime activities to complement its core broking business.

    Christopher Pålsson

    Christopher (Chris) Pålsson is the managing director and partner of maritime-insight. He has a wide experience ranging from practicing business development to transport and logistics studies from manufacturing industries, governmental agencies, ship owners and business organizations. Chris has in different functions worked with shipping and industrial market analysis since the end of the 1980s. He has spoken at numerous high-level meetings and conferences through the years.

    Salka Wollesen Breum

    Salka Wollesen Breum, BA in Spanish Language and Culture from University of Copenhagen, is the Founder and Director of the NGO Mi Cuerpo/Min Krop that facilitates sex education in Colombia since 2016 and Mexico since 2022. She spends most of her year in Colombia, where she is based and has firsthand knowledge on how to start and run a business in Colombia and partly Mexico from the years running the NGO, studying and travelling in Latin America.
